What to Expect
Beginning counselling can feel daunting.
It's completely normal to feel nervous before your first appointment.
Many people worry they won't know what to say or where to begin.
Please don't let that stop you.
Your first session is simply a conversation.
We'll spend time talking about what's happening in your life, what has brought you to counselling and what you're hoping might be different.
There is no expectation that you'll tell me everything in one session.
We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My hope is that after each appointment you'll leave with a little more clarity, a little more self-compassion and a growing understanding of yourself.
Because understanding creates choice. And choice creates change.
